Feed in Tariffs were introduced in April 2010 as a financial incentive to encourage the uptake of renewable electricity generating technologies.
Ofgem has announced new Feed in Tariff rates applicable to all solar PV installations installed from 1st April 2014. For a typical system of up to 16 panels, the Feed in Tariff will now give a rate of 14.38 and an export tariff of 4.77.
